Activity 5 - His books and projects

Carlos Vaz Ferreira married Elvira Raimondi in 1900, they had eight children. Their children were educated at home surrounded by nature, music and freedom.  he developed a project called "Parques escolares" - School parks, one of its principles was that schools should be surrounded by parks where students would learn better, and they would study different topics depending on the weather conditions either inside the school or in the open air.

Regarding his books, he had his most important works published between 1907 and 1910. He published "Problemas de la Libertad" ("Problems of Liberty") in 1907 and in 1908 "Conocimiento y Acción" ("Knowledge and Action") and "Moral para Intelectuales" ("Morals for Intellectuals"). The following year he published "El Pragmatismo" ("Pragmatism"), and one year later "Lógica Viva" ("Living Logic").
"Fermentario" ("Fermentative") was published in in 1938. Five years earlier, he had published "Sobre el feminismo" ("On Feminism"), which is one of the first books about the topic in Latin America..
